I feel as those i have learnt a lot since completing my opening sequence and looking back at how doing a preliminary task and completing it helped me a lot .
I have improved my use of camera via using a wider range of camera angles and camera shots and even better movement of the camera. in the preliminary task the majority of the shots i used where straight angles whereas in the opening sequence the angles where much more interesting.
Another improvement is the way i actually filmed the shots. for example in the preliminary task i was cutting off the heads of actors in the shots and the editing wasn't smooth and fluent. however comparing it to the opening sequence I improved my use of camera and my editing became much smoother.
Another key aspect i learnt from doing a preliminary task was that i need to have a buffer time at the start of each shot. this makes editing a lot easier as i am not having to find the exact time it starts. also taking multiple clips is another key thing as it allows a chance for any unseen mistakes to be removed or changed.
